EURASHE has been leading the HAPHE project for the past 10 months with a group of higher education institutions, national associations and structural partners throughout Europe.
Throughout the first phase of the project, partners are developing country profiles for 16 different higher education systems. Building the profiles started with 'objective' research. It includes first of all the legal status of PHE in the different countries in focus, including the legislations. These country data sheets cover as well data on teaching, curricula, research as well as recognition and
credit transfer. The other part of developing the country profiles includes a large survey performed over the countries in focus. Covering more 'subjective' information, the survey has been spread around the different groups of stakeholders and in the end resulted in over 700 responses. This will ensure a quality representation of different groups of stakeholders throughout the countries and will give a great value to the creation of the country profiles. The combination of objective and subjective data will be put together in creating the country profiles. These will be presented in a booklet, to be published in September this year.
