SUPPORTING PROFESSIONAL HIGHER EDUCATION IN EUROPE

qa
EURASHE is pleased to announce that it will organise on 24-25 October 2013 in Bucharest (Romania) a Seminar on the Implementation of Internal and External Quality Assurance.

The Seminar will be organised by EURASHE under the Patronage of the Ministry of National Education, with the support of the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA)

EURASHE has committed itself to provide hands-on support to higher education institutions and other interested parties in the implementation of the priority areas of the Bologna reform process. From the beginning quality assurance has been a major focus and also one of the domains with most visible successes, on system and institutional level.

The ultimate objective with this hands-on seminar is to support individuals who are responsible for the management or coordination of internal quality assurance at institutions (e.g. quality assurance managers, quality assurance coordinators, quality assurance administrators, etc.).

More information, including the rationale, the programme, and the registration will be available in the coming days.

Reserve the dates and stay tuned!

haphe
EURASHE has been leading the HAPHE project for the past 10 months with a group of higher education institutions, national associations and structural partners throughout Europe.

Throughout the first phase of the project, partners are  developing country profiles for 16 different higher education systems. Building the profiles started with 'objective' research. It includes first of all the legal status of PHE in the different countries in focus, including the legislations. These country data sheets cover as well data on teaching, curricula, research as well as recognition and
credit transfer.

The other part of developing the country profiles includes a large survey performed over the countries in focus. Covering more 'subjective' information, the survey has been spread around the different groups of stakeholders and in the end resulted in over 700 responses. This will ensure a quality representation of different groups of stakeholders throughout the countries and will give a great value to the creation of the country profiles.

The combination of objective and subjective data will be put together in creating the country profiles. These will be presented in a booklet, to be published in September this year.

eqaf
The registrations are open for the 8th edition of the European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF), which will take place at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, from 21 to 23 November 2013.

Through a mix of plenary and parallel sessions, the 2013 EQAF, entitled "Working together to take quality forward", will combine practice-oriented or research-based discussions that will take place in the paper sessions and workshops with presentations of current developments in quality assurance (QA).

Full information on the programme, registrations and practicalities are available on the EQAF webpage.

The call for contributions (papers and workshops) is still open until 2 August. EURASHE members are encouraged to contribute to the 8th edition of EQAF.
