I recently attempted a project that left me stumped and frustrated.  No matter how I counted or what I did, I had one more stitch before the wrap and turn than I was supposed to have.  At last I emailed the designer.  Why am I not getting the right number of stitches?  Well, it turned out that her directions for doing a yarn over at the beginning of a row included the stitch that immediately followed it.   Being a relatively confident knitter, I read "yarn over and knit x stitches" literally and didn't stop to read the directions about how to do a yarn over at the start of a row.  'Been there, done that', or so I thought.  WRONG!  If I had read her very clear instructions, I would have had no problem.  Yes, it's only knitting, but there are always a few new tricks we can pick up.  You are never too old to learn something new!
