Our word for spring - FINALLY! FINALLY! FINALLY!
Quickly check these four items before you ride. Your bike has had a long winter too, 'hanging' in your garage. We are here to help you to have fun out there!

P.S. If you or your child has 'outgrown' his or her bike, please donate it to our Bikes4Kids charity. We will refurbish it and give it to a needy child or adult.
bike tire pump
1. Pump up your tires.

If you have not pumped up your tires since last fall, or last week, then, yes, they will need some air. Correctly inflated tires give you a smoother, easier (and more fun) ride. A high pressure floor pump makes this job so much faster!
Here is our favorite.

2. Check your seat.

Comfortable Serfas Saddle
Does it need tightening? Is it comfortable? Is it at the correct height for you? Gel padding and full suspension springs may be just what you need!

3. Snap on your helmet.

Bikes 4 Kids
Did you buy your helmet before 2009? Your helmet's ability to absorb impact degrades over time, so it's best to replace it every 3 to 5 years. The new designs are cooler, more comfortable and easy to adjust.
We have cute helmets for kids, stylish helmets for women with ponytail ports, and even helmets for those with larger brains! Check out these four, and you'll find lots more in the shop. A new helmet is way more fun than a visit to the emergency room!

4. Check your gears and brakes.

bike tune up
If your gears do not work smoothly, your bike probably needs a tune up. Our tune ups include: wheel truing; brake and derailleur adjustment; headset, derailleur, bottom bracket and hub bearing check; lubrication; top off tires; wipe down; and safety inspection.
