Roxane is a mixed media artist living and working in Sandy Springs. Using vocabulary of mark making, collaging, drawing and painting, she creates felt expressions as visual language.
To help stress the message of renewal I have taken the rusted objects and refinished them with various heat-treated chemical finishes to produce juxtaposition between decay and beauty. This is a metaphor of the renewal of our society.
Non-objective (abstract) painting is, to Ellen, a process of transformation: changing a blank, 2-dimensional surface into cohesive patterns of colors, textures, shapes, and lines. The result is a softly geometric composition that combines mixed media and collage.
An Atlanta native, Jackie enjoys painting the Southeastern landscape from the mountains to the marshes and the seashore, as well as other areas where she has traveled in this country and in Europe. Her paintings are primarily landscapes and still life paintings in a representational style.
Evelyn M. Breit works from the live model and creates colorful figurative paintings in pastel and oil. A winner of numerous awards, Evelyn is Member of Excellence in the Southeastern Pastel Society and Atlanta Artists Center,as well as a Juried Associate Member with the Pastel Society of America.
