Announcing the 2013
Sandy Springs Reads Book
To Kill a Mockingbird
We are pleased to announce the American classic To Kill a Mockingbird has been selected as the second annual Sandy Springs Reads Book, as well as the companion books for young children "Bud, Not Buddy" and Dr. Seuss' "The Sneetches."
Sandy Springs Reads is a "One Book, One Community" event that promotes literacy and builds a sense of community by engaging its citizens in discussions and activities around a common book.
Planning is already under way for the Sandy Springs Reads Program, which will kick-off in April 2013.
Events will include a book cover art contest, a trial reenactment, an outdoor movie gathering and a special screening of the documentary "Hey Boo" with special guests.
