Dear friends,

 

During this holiday season we are aware how blessed we are to have family, friends and all of the gifts that we continue to receive in our lives.

 

You have been a part of our lives for the many years that we have been working together providing access to education for 3,000 children in South Sudan. We appreciate your generosity and want you to know that you have made a significant difference in the lives of the children, adults and families where we have been building schools these past eight years.

 

Our final "brick & mortar" promise is almost done! We just need to add the roof, 16 windows, 4 doors, stucco and labor to complete the four classrooms at Tong Pagook Primary School. In order to do that, we need to raise a total of $50,000. Please help us fulfill our final promise by making a generous donation to complete the school building for 350 children at Pagook Primary School.

 

During 2013 we have completed our HIV/AIDS education and Student Leadership program development thanks to two years of research and work from our Korbel School of International Studies interns! Our mission and dream has always been to move communities and schools toward self-reliance and sustainability through partnerships with universities here in the US and NGO's in the US and South Sudan.

 

Daniel Majok Gai has now completed three years as our South Sudan Director giving us the feet on the ground we need to accomplish so much. We are pleased that Daniel has now been funded for 2014 through the generosity of a private donor. Through his efforts we will be able to complete the Tong Pagook Primary School classrooms, drill our last water well and assure the success of the sustainability and capacity building of our work in South Sudan.

 

Through the support of another private donor we have secured the funding for all of our US based operating expenses for 2014 which will allow 100% of amounts raised to be focused on completing the Tong Pagook Primary School classrooms.
