Ollie's Offerings

Pentecost, the birth of church by the giving of the Holy Spirit, will be celebrated this Sunday. Expect to see some fiery red and hear lots about power and new life. While APC is 26 years old as a congregation, let us be reminded that the church is nearly 2,000 years old! The spirit that brooded over the waters at creation, filled the nostrils of Adam in the garden, and brought forth faith and proclamation from the earliest believers on the day of Pentecost, is the very spirit that renews us in faith today.

As we remember the church's birth long ago, we will also sow seeds of new life in the church's future. This Sunday, APC will receive a special offering to help send some of our high school youth to the national Presbyterian youth conference this July at Purdue University. Called "Triennium" this conference promises to be a tremendous faith-builder in the lives of the thousands who will attend. Your gifts will help grow faith in our young. What an appropriate Pentecost gift!

May the life-giving Spirit of God bring renewal and vitality to the church and may the work of the Spirit cause faith to sprout and blossom in your own life. Open yourself to the revitalizing work and calling of God's Spirit that is in our very midst.

The Times (and Places) Are A-Changin'!

Sunday morning worship times are changing for the summer!  Beginning May 26 and running through August 11, we will worship at 9:00 and 10:30am.

Additionally, we will hold a sunrise service on June 2, July 7, and August 4 (first Sunday of each month) at 7:00am in the outdoor chapel.

Sunday worship will be held in the multipurpose Room (MPR) in the education building beginning June 23.  Assuming the renovation of the sanctuary is complete, we will resume worship in the sanctuary according to our normal fall schedule on August 18.  Sunday School will resume on August 18.

Youth Triennium Offering

This Sunday, Day of Pentecost, we will receive a special offering for the APC youth who will be attending the national Presbyterian youth conference called "Triennium" at Purdue University. Please generously support our youth who will accompany chaperones Kelly Edwards and Jamie Butcher on this great adventure of faith! You may use the envelopes found in the pew racks marked "Youth Triennium Offering" or make checks payable to APC with "Youth Triennium" on the memo line.

Friends & Fellowship
Friends & Fellowship Reception is this Sunday.  Visitors and members, please join us in Fellowship Hall immediately after the 11:00 service for a reception hosted by the deacons. Light refreshments will be served. It's a great time to meet new people and catch up with old friends!
