Unconditional love is a theme I keep seeing with each of you and your pets. Usually when I think of unconditional love, I think of the unconditional love our cats, dogs, horses, birds, and any other species give us. In every animal communication, your animal companions tell me how much they love you -- their people.

Recently I'm seeing and hearing the unconditional love you, my clients, give to your best friends. Sometimes I wonder if we aware of this special love. Yes, I know we all love our pets, and this is a special love. Several of my clients' stories touched my heart and I want to share them with you.

  • A couple drove their dog from Seattle, Washington to Sun Valley, Idaho to have a hip replaced. They drove over 13 hours each way, because the vet does over 800 hip replacements a year. As their dog with lots of restrictions due to the surgery start her journey of recovery, they watched the Sun Valley forest fires come closer to their lodging. They met people who may lose their homes and so much more. They left before the evacuation reached them - only blocks away. Imagine trying to keep a German Shepard lying quietly during a 13-hour drive! Now they are home safe in Seattle with several months of recovery. True unconditional love!
  • I receive a frantic phone call from a woman whose cat was 50 feet up a tree. She called the fire department and they wouldn't come. During the animal communication with the terrified cat, I calmed the cat and asked her to stay in the crotch of the tree because she would be rescued in the morning. At daybreak, a wonderful man came in his bucket truck and rescued her. Again unconditional love.
  • The Hennepin County Hoofbeat 4-H Club invited me to talk at their August meeting. One rider asked me why his horse would not perform as asked. The horse told me his bit was too small. The rider and horse walked away. Twenty minutes later the rider came back all excited. He changed the bit and the horse did everything he requested. I was so impressed with the unconditional love of the teenage equestrian!

Yes our pets give us unconditional love all the time. Remember you also give unconditional love back to them.

Do you realize how attached your pet is to you and your family? Often pets blame themselves when someone leaves or isn't home "on time." As your children head back to school/college or your schedule changes, is your pet acting differently - lethargic, seems sad, changed eating habits, etc?

For a free 10-minute consult, email me with the best times to call you to help you and your pet adjust to your new schedules.

Take care,

Elaine
