Greetings!
I can't believe Halloween is almost here! Come join me at the 1st Annual Howl-O-Ween Pawty on Saturday October 27th! Bring your family - dogs include! Because let's face it, dogs are family. Proceeds benefit Homeward Bound Dog Rescue. An afternoon full of lots of activities including a costume contest and prizes! Please remember Halloween can be scary to your pets. Be sure they are secure inside your home. You may want to put them in another room when you open the door for the Trick-or-Treaters. Also please keep the candy and especially chocolate out of your dog and cat's reach. It may be a perfect time to do mindful TTouches to your pets. Some may even be more comfortable in a TTouch® Body Wrap or Thundershirt™. Also if you are driving, beware of the ghosts and goblins running across the street! The reason October flew by so quickly was TTouch®, TTouch, and more TTouch! October was full of TTouch experiences. I started the month with my first TTouch and Bach® Flowers Class for Cats. It was a huge success. I'm hearing wonderful stories how cats are less standoffish with their people. Then I coordinated and assisted at TTouch Training six-day class. It was so exciting to see the students and dogs' confidence grow daily. At Animal Ark Shelter, students worked with many shelter cats and dogs including Bunny, Bambi, and Rosie. In less than an hour, I watched several anxious dogs stand in balance over their feet and calmly look around. Another day we had chickens, guinea pigs, and a rabbit teach us about TTouch on different species. On Client Day advanced students work with clients and their dogs. In less than 45 minutes, two students helped a reactive, barking dog experience quietly looking around an unfamiliar room. All this TTouch was sandwiched between two community education classes on TTouch for Dog! Yes, I am on a TTouch high. Please let me know how I can help you and your pets, all sorts of species, live their best lives. Take care, Elaine |
