Greetings!
The holidays are not quite over... Have some fun watching this brief video showing how a group of guys uplifted spirits when delays at an airport had passengers waiting during holiday travel. I especially like the simple wisdom stated at the end.
And, here's another one about unique traffic stops in Missouri that brought drivers to tears - and me too! There is so much good in people, in the world.
Although I do not have many holiday traditions, this holiday season has been rich. For me, it has always been about friendship, love, joy, and peace, and in that sense, there is a constant from year-to-year for me even if I've not established traditions. While the practice of exchanging gifts is no longer a high priority for me and others in my circles, I did receive one huge gift worthy of note.
The gift was the realization that I have one group of folks in particular with whom I really feel we are like family - a healthy, functional one, of course! Love, respect, caring, and support abound. Friends who are the sisters I never had (I grew up amongst three brothers), who are there for one another as we do this thing called Life as best we can... to laugh with, sing with, cry with, leap with together in joy. This realization warms my heart and these women are gifts that bless me and fill me with joy not just on Christmas, but throughout the year. I am mighty grateful.
What special gift did you receive recently?
Blessings,

Happiness - Food for Thought (Courtesy of Hafiz)
There is not a waking moment that you are not trying to savor what you have, or get closer to what will bring you pleasure.
Being so preoccupied as we are with needing to be satisfied, it seems we would be better at it by now:
that happiness would be our norm, not a rare event.

Corrupted Media Library
If you're not seeing all your files in your Windows Media Player, the library may be corrupted.
You can uninstall, then reinstall the software or you can rebuild the Media Library.
Here are the steps to rebuild the Media Library on Windows 7.
1. Close the Windows Media Player program.
2. Stop the media sharing service. Go to Start->Control Panel->All Control Panel Items->Administrative Tools->Services. Right-click on the "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" and select "Stop."
3. Navigate to c:/Users/"your username"/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Media Player. Delete the files named CurrentDatabase_***.wmdb and LocalMLS_*.wmdb.
4. Start the media sharing service.

Exporting Contacts for Uploading Into Constant Contact
How do you get the contacts in your email program or database into Constant Contact? Depending on where your contacts are, you can use a contact import tool, an API to sync your contacts with Constant Contact, or create a file to export them. For example, you can export contacts from ACT!, Earthlink, Gmail, Microsoft® Outlook, and Thunderbird.
Particularly when you have recently opened a new Constant Contact account, you may want to grab your address book information directly from your email program - this will save you gobs of time :). Below are two popular email account providers with the steps on how to export the contact information you have in that account for onward uploading into your Constant Contact account. Google (Gmail) - Go to Contacts.
- Click the More button.
- Choose Export...
- Select from the choices provided which contacts you want to export.
- Choose the Outlook CSV format.
- Click the Export button.
- Save the file.

Website Development/WordPress
Maintaining Your WordPress Website
I've talked about the website as your hub, your home, where you steer people to go to learn the details about you, your work, your organization. Well, as with any home, it requires maintenance. You don't just move your stuff in (add content) and never touch it again. You have to regularly keep things in order, like dusting, emptying the garbage, airing the place out, etc. Otherwise entropy comes in and mucks everything up. However, instead of having your home smell like mostly-empty pizza boxes housing roaches, hackers come to your website and squat. They insert malicious code in your website and wait for an opportune moment to start causing a ruckus - slowing down or completely disabling your website.

May you be blessed with friendship, love, joy, and peace throughout the new year. Let's see what adventures 2015 has in store for each of us!

Joyce "came to believe" in a Power greater than herself about 24 years ago. Thanks to hearing the novel idea that one could choose their own concept of God - and name too - and the workings of synchronicity, Joyce embarked on a new way of thinking, a new way of living, a new way of being in the world and with others. Since that time of commencing her conscious spiritual journey, she has endeavored to remember The Presence in all that is, all whom she meets, and all that she does - including working with others and their computer and marketing projects!
