Greetings!
Happy Autumnal Equinox!
I sometimes get a little melancholy when the seasons head closer in the direction of winter. Freedom seems a little less so with the shorter hours of daylight, cooler temps, and increasing layers of clothing. On the other hand, the crisp air is invigorating and watching Mother Nature prep for the winter is fascinating.
Despite the seasonal changes, my spirit is easily lifted and my heart warmed with any story like the following...
The Thai telecommunications conglomerate True is getting rave reviews worldwide for its latest advertisement, "Giving," which tells the story of a man unexpectedly rewarded for a lifetime of good deeds he performed without expecting anything in return. Despite the lack of connecting the message of the commercial with their product, I just loved it.
Get those hankies out!

Spiritual/Personal
A Truly Great DayWhat makes the day great is not what it brings you. What makes the day great is what you choose to do with it. What makes the moment memorable is not the situation. What makes the moment memorable is the way you handle the situation. You can make any day a great day. And that most certainly includes this one.Think back to the truly great days you have experienced. You'll see that those were the days when you were living most authentically, and giving the best of yourself to life. You can choose to do the same thing today and every day. There's no need to wait for some special circumstance or condition.Life is yours, right here and now, and you can make it great. Be yourself, give of yourself, and make for yourself a truly great day.- Ralph Marston

Testing to Improve e-News Performance
Is your e-newsletter campaign garnering the results you would like? Are your Open Rates meeting or above the industry average? Are readers responding to your calls-to-action? There are a number of ways to improve the performance of an e-news campaign, and I often talk about them in this forum: template look, message, subject line, etc. But, have you actually ever tested your changes? A/B Split Testing, also known as 'Split Testing', is a way to make measurable improvements to your content. A/B Split Tests take two versions of an email and run them simultaneously to see which performs better. It allows you to test differences to determine which version best achieves your goal. You can use A/B Split Testing to test different parts of your email campaign:
- Subject line
- Message content (calls-to action, links, copy length)
- Message design/layout
- From name and/or email address
- Delivery date/time
So if you're looking to improve the performance of your e-news campaign, consider running some tests. And, know that I am available to discuss additional ideas to help improve your success. You are not alone!

Joyce "came to believe" in a Higher Power about 23 years ago. Thanks to hearing the novel idea that one could choose their own concept of God - and name too - and the workings of synchronicity, Joyce embarked on a new way of thinking, a new way of living, a new way of being in the world and with others. Since that time of commencing her conscious spiritual journey, she has endeavored to remember The Presence in all that is, all whom she meets, and all that she does - including working with others and their computer projects!
