SUMMER DRIVING

Most traffic accidents occur during the summer and the most common cause is distracted driving while using a cell phone.  Summer is the best time to educate everyone about the dangers of texting or using a hand held cell phone while driving.

Police Officers in Lake County are participating in a campaign called "Drop It and Drive / Stay Alive!"  Officers are looking for drivers operating a hand held cell phone or texting.  Please drive safely to protect yourself and your family and avoid a ticket, too!
YOU MAY HAVE MISSED PLAYING IN THE PGA'S LAST MAJOR GOLF TOURNAMENT OF THE YEAR

VEGETATION TRIMMING

Crews are trimming back vegetation along Village roads to promote visibility and safety.  Controlling  vegetation also allows winter sun to shine onto roads to help melt snow and ice.

When driving please be on the lookout for the crews doing this important work.
