KILDEER SPRING CLEAN-UP DAY
Saturday, April 23rd
Each year since 1994 Kildeer homeowners have pitched-in to clean up the property in front of their home and the right of way along the street where they live. It is a great way to beautify the Village and get rid of the litter that accumulated over the winter. Everyone is encouraged to again pitch-in and clean-up on Saturday, April 23rd. That day co-insides with Earth Day, a day when people are reminded to connect with their environment.
As part of the annual clean-up day, residents within subdivisions are also asked to pick up litter along a short stretch of village roadway near the entrance to their subdivision. It should not take more than an hour to clean up each stretch of road.
Click here to find your subdivision with corresponding roadway assignments and trash bag collection points. Waste Management trucks will pick up the bags on Wednesday following the Spring Clean Up Day.
I hope you will be part of this year's Spring Clean Up Day and that you will do what you can to encourage your friends and neighbors to join this community beautification effort. Please, grab a pair of gloves and trash bags and help make Kildeer a more beautiful place. Thank you.
Should you have any questions or need more information please call Village Hall.
Yours truly,
Nandia P. Black
Village President

April Showers
While April showers bring May flowers, heavy rains can also cause flooding. Before the next rain take a look at the drains around your house to be sure they are not blocked by leaves or other debris.
Also, clear leaves, branches or any other debris from the culverts beneath your driveway and in the swale. Those areas must be clear to allow stormwater to flow and drain away quickly.

HUNGRY?
The 9TH ANNUAL
ALL-U-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST is coming May 15th
Plan to bring the entire family to a delicious all-you-can-eat pancake & sausage breakfast where you can hear live music, watch a K-9 demonstration, take a ride on an antique fire truck and enjoy other fun family activities. Eat breakfast and help support the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) at their 9th Annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, May 15th from 8:00am-1:00pm. Bring your appetite and enjoy.
This is the only fundraiser for CERT and all of the proceeds provide the training and equipment necessary to sustain the team. By supporting the CERT team you are supporting the Village's ability to respond in an emergency.
