EARLY RISERS, BEWARE!

Melting snow, dampness and low overnight temperatures are a perfect recipe for black ice.  You can't see it but you can slip on it.  Be especially alert for black ice conditions, especially when you first go out in the morning.
FEBRUARY IS
FREE ADMISSION MONTH
AT THE LAKE COUNTY
DISCOVERY MUSEUM

If you love language you can discover the book that gave us over 2,000 of the words and phrases that we use in everyday life.  See  an original First Folio, which was published in 1623, containing 15 of Shakespeare's plays including Macbeth, Julius Caesar, Twelfth Night and more.

This will be the only place in Illinois where the First Folio will be shown!  In February the Lake County Discovery Museum will be celebrating the greatest playwright of the English language and, best of all, ADMISSION IS FREE ALL MONTH.  You owe it to yourself to stop by and brush-up on your Shakespeare trivia and see all of the surprising and interesting items in the museum's collection.  The museum is a real gem and if you haven't yet been there this is the month to go.  Bring the whole family and enjoy entire the museum.
