MOSQUITOS - GET THEM BEFORE THEY GET YOU!

So far cool temperatures have kept mosquitos at bay. Once it warms up, with all of the rain in June, conditions will be right for a mosquito population explosion.
The Village contracts with Clarke, an environmental service provider, for public health mosquito control. Pellet treatments target mosquito larvae before they hatch and are an effective method of control.
Property owners are a critical part of the mosquito control effort. Please make sure that there is no stagnant water in bird baths and swimming pools. Eliminate standing water around your house and fix leaking faucets. Keep your keeping gutters clean.
To report potential mosquito breeding areas, please call the Clarke Mosquito Hotline at 800-942-2555.
Protect yourself in the evening when mosquitos are most active. Wear long sleeve shirts and long pants and spray the outside of your clothes with mosquito repellant.
