Construction Lights
Road work will continue through July.  Avoid congestion by using alternatives for Rand Road.

Eagle Scout candidate and Kildeer resident, Chris Hurrell, is sponsoring a NEW book drive to help benefit young patients at the Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge. The goal is to collect 750 new books.  

Chris and his team will distribute a flyer to homes in Kildeer.  Books will be collected on Sunday, May 16th.  
 
Bring Chris' flyer to the Brilliant Sky Toy & Book Store in Deer Park Town Center and receive a 10% discount for all books bought for the drive.

LEARN TO MANAGE PONDS, WETLANDS AND NATURAL AREAS IN YOUR SUBDIVISION 

A free workshop for homeowner associations and property owners responsible for maintaining detention ponds, wetlands and natural areas will take place from 6 pm to 8:30 pm May 19th at the College of Lake County, 19351 W. Washington St., Wing C lower level, Grayslake. Attend workshops and talk with consultants and contractors who can provide the best ways to maintain subdivision drainage systems. COMMUNITY REMINDERS

 FREE DOCUMENT SHREDDING & ELECTRONIC RECYCLING EVENT 

Tomorrow: Saturday, May 9th from 8am-11am

 

Please bring a non-perishable food item for each box of paper items to be shredded or electronics to be recycled to Ela Library tomorrow from 8am to 11am.

ALL-U-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST

 Sunday, May 17th from 8am-1pm

 

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) of South Lake County is having their 8th Annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, May 17th from 8:00am to 1:00pm. This is the only fundraiser for CERT and all of the proceeds are used for training and equipment necessary to sustain the team. Supporting the CERT team also supports the Village's ability to respond in an emergency.

CHILD SAFETY SEAT EVENT
Saturday, May 20th from 10am- 2pm

 
Parents mark your calendar for this important child safety event on Saturday, May 20th from 10am - 2pm at the Lake Zurich Police Station. Stop by and have a policeman check to see if your child's seat is safely installed.  This is a free rain or shine event.
