VILLAGE RECEIVES FINANCIAL
REPORTING AWARD
TWO YEARS IN A ROW
The Village of Kildeer was again awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). It is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and represents significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

 ILLINOIS CONCEALED CARRY ACT
Illinois is now a concealed carry state. A property owner can still prohibit someone from carrying a concealed firearm on his or her property if a sign(s) indicating that firearms are prohibited is posted.

REMINDERS
TOMORROW IS KILDEER SPRING CLEAN - UP DAY
The annual Kildeer Spring Clean Up Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th. Residents are encouraged to pick up litter along a short stretch of Village roadway near the subdivision where you live.
I hope you and your family will be part of this year's Spring Clean Up Day and that you will do what you can to encourage your friends and neighbors to join this community beautification effort. Please, grab a pair of gloves and trash bags and help make Kildeer a more beautiful place.

Two new links have been added to the bottom right column of the village e-newsletter under the Kildeer logo. A link to the PASSAGE's website provides residents with up-to-date information on local traffic conditions and construction projects. The Lake County Job center provides a listing of job opportunities and other helpful job-related information.
PROPERTY TAX OUTREACH PROGRAM
Are you signed-up for all of the property tax exemptions you are entitled to receive? The Chief County Assessment Office and the Lake County Township Assessors Association will hold several public outreach sessions to help residents understand their property tax bill and apply for exemptions including the 2014 Senior Citizen Assessment Freeze and other available exemptions.
