What is WORSHIP really?
This Sunday will be the fifth message on disciplines that can bring a REVOLUTION in how we change. I am excited to introduce Sunday's guest preacher, Jason Kinder. Jason serves as a guitarist on our worship team and has been doing a great job preaching in our new Wednesday worship service. Jason has a dynamic personality and a passion for communicating God's Word. His message will be about the life-changing spiritual discipline of "WORSHIP." I hope you'll come with an open mind and allow God to stretch your concept of worship from a narrow, once-a-week experience, to a daily expression of a life honoring God. While Jason brings the message at 9:30 & 11 am service, Wayne Davis will be preaching at our Classic service at 8 am. Wayne retired a number a years ago from a full-time time preaching ministry, and serves with us in a part-time pastoral care role. While Jason and Wayne bring the message, Beth and I will be heading to a conference for pastors and wives in sunny Florida. We will enjoy time with about 50 other couples who lead in similar churches with over a thousand in attendance. One more special thing about our time away is that Beth & I will celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day. Have a great week in Christ.

We are planning for special guest Daren Wendell, ActiveWater mission, to join us in worship. He is coming through St. Louis as part of his 100 marathons in 100 days. That day the run will be from Wildwood to the Arch.
Your generous donations to First Christian will help supply clean water in Jesus' name to the people of Ethiopia! You can help bring safe water to 31,400 community members and school children in Borena as well as sanitation and hygiene education to 14,700 people.
Not only can we give, we can also participate in this run to add visibility to this mission. Senior Pastor, Steve Wingfield, is training to join him for a half-marathon. While our Family Life Pastor, Dennis Hounshell, will lead a 5K run/walk at Forest Park for those not able to run a full or half marathon. Contact Dennis at 314 837-2269 for more information.
