The number one new year's resolution people make is related to physical problems. We resolve that we will do the diet thing or amp up the exercise. We know we have room to improve, but lasting changes in these areas are difficult. Jesus said to his disciples, "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Instead of resigning that improvement is impossible, we need God's wisdom on how to change our patterns. This Sunday, we will look to what God's word says about how to "TRAIN." How can we grow in physical disciplines that include diet and exercise? If you want to read ahead for the message, check out the entire chapter of 1 Timothy 4. Notice the context where Paul says, "Train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things." Are your creative skills going unused? We are looking for individual who are energized by using their gifts. Would you be willing to share those with our middle school kids? This is a great opportunity to spend time with students as they explore the gifts God has given them. Our goal is to encourage and use these interests to draw them and others close to our God. If you can build, act, record, draw, paint, sing, play instruments, design, tech support, or edit video, please contact Beth Wingfield at 314-369-8290 or bethwingfield1@aol.com
