Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. - 1Thes. 5:18
Thanksgiving is fast approaching. Instead of just one day of thanksgiving each year, wouldn't it be more appropriate to have one day for complaining and griping and 364 days for giving thanks?! This entire month of November we are going to work on amping up our attitude of gratitude. Thankful4 is our teaching series that begins tomorrow.
We are celebrating some special things in our service this week as well. Tomorrow (Sunday, November 2) we will:
1) announce the results of our I'M ALL IN decision cards reflecting our growth in generosity
2) begin our new giving season through a "first fruits" offering
3) introduce our newest deacons and elder with a prayer of ordination at the close of the 9:30 and the beginning of the 11:00 services
I hope to see you in worship on Sunday. This is how I hope you will plan to arrive:
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalms 100:4
