Thankful4
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. - 1Thes. 5:18

Thanksgiving is fast approaching. Instead of just one day of thanksgiving each year, wouldn't it be more appropriate to have one day for complaining and griping and 364 days for giving thanks?! This entire month of November we are going to work on amping up our attitude of gratitude. Thankful4 is our teaching series that begins tomorrow.

We are celebrating some special things in our service this week as well. Tomorrow (Sunday, November 2) we will:
1) announce the results of our I'M ALL IN decision cards reflecting our growth in generosity
2) begin our new giving season through a "first fruits" offering
3) introduce our newest deacons and elder with a prayer of ordination at the close of the 9:30 and the beginning of the 11:00 services

I hope to see you in worship on Sunday. This is how I hope you will plan to arrive:
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalms 100:4

I'M ALL IN Celebration!

Tomorrow - Sunday, November 2

This Sunday we will announce our decision card totals for I'M ALL IN, our two-year generosity initiative. What better way to start off our giving toward our commitments than bringing a "First Fruits" offering! From this point forward, all our giving will be ALL IN in one fund. If we each bring our best offering ever from our stored resources, we will celebrate a record offering that will accelerate our progress towards our vision to reach, win and grow. Haven't turned in your decision card yet? Turn in your I'm All In decision card this Sunday or complete it online today.

Starting Point Welcome Seminar

Sunday, November 5, 6:00-8:00 pm

Starting Point We would like every guest of First Christian to experience Starting Point. It's a welcome seminar led by Steve Wingfield that gives an overview of our church and a personal challenge to take your next step of faith. You'll enjoy a great meal (Chick-Fil-A), meet some ministry staff, and take a quick "backstage" tour. Most importantly, we'll meet in a smaller setting where you can hear and respond to God's invitation for your life. Childcare is provided with an online RSVP.
