Dear friends in Christ,
What an incredible season of challenge this has been for our First Christian family! This past Sunday was a special day for our church. I smile when I think of the energy of 80 kids from our JAM Choir singing on stage. It was moving to see hundreds of people coming forward with decision cards to lay on the steps indicating "I'm All In." Nine more individuals came forward to make decisions for Christ! That means 20 baptisms and 19 new members in this last month! That is remarkable in this season where the challenge has been so strong to take a step forward in faith and a step up in generosity.
If you turned in your I'm All In decision card on Sunday, THANK YOU! I can hardly wait to share more this weekend on where we are at this point. So far 311 cards have been turned in as a terrific start! However, we have a significant ways to go as our goal is 100% participation.
If you missed Sunday or weren't quite ready to turn in a card, I invite you to be ALL IN. We really want to hear from you. There is still time for you to respond to communicate your intended generosity. Here's what you can do if you want to be included in our total for this Sunday:
2) Fill out an I'm All In decision card and bring it by the church before Sunday.
If you have questions, call us and we'd be glad to help you find answers.
Remember as you complete your card it is a "one fund" decision. We are sharing our intended giving for two years to all of our existing ministries, our missions ministries outside the local church, and our building mortgage. Our giving begins with a First Fruits celebration on Sunday, November 2. On that day we will begin a brand-new series called "Thankful 4" and ordain our newest elder and deacons with prayer.
There is so much riding on our 100% participation in this for our future. Even if you are brand-new to giving or wish you could do much more, please don't let this door of opportunity pass. Share with us what you can cheerfully do to support our vision to reach others, win souls for Christ, and grow as disciples. Thank you for responding to the challenge to take a step forward in faith and a step up in generosity. Thank you for being part of our church family and for your generosity.
All In for Christ Jesus,
Steve Wingfield
