I couldn't be more encouraged than when I hear so many voices saying, "That's My Church!" "My church is a place that... baptizes, teaches me God's Word, prays, celebrates recovery, welcomes everyone, helps me find financial peace, visits the sick, reaches through missions, etc." We are in a season where we are communicating and celebrating the vision Christ has given us to reach, win, and grow. A key component to helping us make that vision a reality is leaders who serve, working to involve others in our ministry together. On Sunday, September 7 we will have a brief congregational meeting at the close of each service to affirm by ballot our leadership's recommendation of new deacons and one new elder. It is great to see these individuals' willingness to step up to serve. That Sunday will also include a fun tailgate party right after services. That means grills, great food, activities for kids and most importantly, time to enjoy our church family. Thank you for your faithfulness in worship, the great level of involvement in our small group launch, your offerings that multiply ministry, and your invitations to others. That's My Church.

Tailgate Party
Sunday, September 7, after 11 am service
We will head to the "backyard" for a tailgate party! Wear your NFL jerseys and show some spirit! Groups will be able to promote their ministries while competing for the best tailgate food and decor. Individuals can also compete for best dessert. Prizes will be awarded.
Not part of a group? Come anyway! The groups will be making enough food to share and they would love to tell you about themselves! If you want to bring food, we can find a group for you to join. The church will provide drinks, plates, and eating utensils, so you can share with anyone who comes to your table. In addition, there will be snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, inflatables and face painting. Have questions? Contact Virgil Brazle at virgil.brazle@fccf.org.
