The Membership Committee discussed the need for new applicants to have sponsors to become an ASHI member. Review of sister society membership applications revealed that they do not require sponsors for membership. After much discussion, the committee agreed that sponsors are no longer necessary for ASHI membership.
The Bylaws committee agreed with this recommendation and the ASHI Board of Directors has approved the proposed 2016 bylaws amendments recommended by the Bylaws Committee. Before these are sent out for a vote by the membership, your comments are invited.
