2016 PT Program Applications are Now Being Accepted!
The ASHI Proficiency Testing Committee is pleased to announce that applications for the 2016 PT program are now being accepted. A brochure describing the 2016 PT program and applications can be accessed at the Proficiency Testing page on the ASHI website.
2016 marks the 14th year that ASHI is offering proficiency testing. A few changes have been made to the program:
Proficiency Testing for HLA-B27 will now be offered as part of the HT survey rather than a stand-alone survey. Participants will order the HT survey and subscribe to B27 survey with no additional cost. Results will be submitted separately for the B27 and HT surveys.
In order to meet the increasing demand for proficiency testing of non-HLA antibodies, the 2016 AC survey will allow participants to enter results for Angiotensin II Receptor Type 1 (AT1R) antibodies. This will be an ungraded, educational challenge. Results of the AT1R proficiency testing will be shared to participants.
Single Antigen Bead HLA antibody MFI testing results will be collected from willing participants as part of the Proficiency Committee's educational endeavor to more deeply examine the testing results from participants. Please stay tuned for information on how to participate in sharing your laboratory's single antigen bead MFI data. The results will be shared back with our ASHI community in an anonymous manner.
Thank you in advance!
