Congrats to the Latest Texas Statewide Homebuyer Education Program Training Participants

We're proud to announce that 100% of the counselors would recommend this training to others.

June is National Homeownership Month, and to celebrate, TSAHC published a special series in our On The House Blog.  Each Monday, we shared the story of a family or individual who used our programs to purchase a home. Below are excerpts from those stories.

We invite you to drop by On The House each week as we share information on important housing issues, provide an inside look into our programs, and share other valuable resources. Click here to sign up to receive the blog each week.

Home Buyer Blog Series

June 1: Meet Ann and Doug Foxworth

To kick off our home buyer blog series, TSAHC created a short video to share the story of Ann and Doug Foxworth. The Foxworths are a retired couple who also happen to be visually impaired.  They were living in a rental home, but they were forced to move because their landlord wanted to sell the home. TSAHC's home buyer programs helped them purchase a home that meets their needs in a quiet, well established neighborhood in north Austin.

June 8: Meet Momi Silva

Momi Silva lives in El Paso with her husband and two stepsons.  TSAHC's home buyer programs helped her accomplish the dream of homeownership.  We asked Momi a few questions about her home buying experience and what it means to be a first time homeowner.

June 15: Meet Mindy Burrow

Mindy Burrow never envisioned being a homeowner until her deteriorating apartment forced her to explore other options. Mindy discovered TSAHC's home buyer programs and used them to help her purchase a home of her own in Amarillo.

Read more about Mindy Burrow here.

June 22: Meet Ellie Moss

Ellie Moss recently purchased her first home in Longview. Ellie was kind enough to share her story on how TSAHC's programs helped the single mother purchase a home in a neighborhood close to her son's school.
