2015 Annual Meeting
Yuma Shines & Education Funding Highlighted

Linda Elliott-Nelson, Tara Jackson and Scott Rhodes

Yuma's talented leadership showed up in force at this year's Annual Meeting and Summit on Topics. As Scott Rhodes completed his term as Board Chair, he passed the bell to the first Town Hall Board Chair to hail from Yuma--Linda Elliott-Nelson, Vice-President for Learning Services at Arizona Western College.

Yuma also shone with this year's Shirley Agnos Legacy Award recipient Wayne Benesch, Attorney and Managing Director of Byrne &  Benesch, P.C. in Yuma, Arizona.
The Annual Meeting marks the start of new Board terms for Arizona Town Hall members from around the state. To see a full list of Arizona Town Hall's current Board members, click here.

Participants heard from several speakers on potential topics for Town Halls that will occur after this fall's session on Water and the spring Town Hall on Arizona's relationship with Mexico. After discussions and voting, the top contenders for future Town Hall topics are: education funding, Arizona's tax structure and Arizona's correctional system.
