Dear University of Rochester Alumni,
We extend a huge thank you to all of you who returned to campus this October to celebrate Meliora Weekend. Many of you returned to celebrate your class reunions, while others came back to celebrate student organization anniversaries. We hope you enjoyed learning about all of the exciting advances happening all over the University, and we encourage you to stay connected throughout the year.
Heading into the New Year, we look forward to the 2016 Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Address, to be held at the end of January, as well as the seventh annual Diversity Conference----#URDiversity: What Do You Stand For?----which will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016. Stay tuned for more information about these events in the coming months!
As many high school students begin the college admissions process, I would also like to call your attention to UR Involved, a program which taps alumni volunteers to promote the University of Rochester in their cities. UR Involved volunteers represent the University at college fairs, perform admissions interviews for applicants, and meet with parents and prospective students at regional admissions events. The program strives to maintain an alumni volunteer base that is as representative of our campus as possible, and we need your experiences, your knowledge, your passion----we need YOU----to achieve this goal. To learn more about UR Involved, visit the webpage and connect with us.
On behalf of the Office of Alumni Relations, I wish you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous holiday season. Meliora,
Cris Monahan '11 Assistant Director of Affinity and Diversity Engagement |
