More hours of daylight and temperate temps make Spring an ideal time to visit.  The event calendar is packed with activities from concerts and theater to historical re-enactments, fairs and more. The star of our Spring happenings is the Annual Rhode Island National Guard Open House and Air Show which kicks off U.S. Navy Week in Rhode Island on May 30-31 and will feature the return of the famous U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

Smith's Castle opens on May 2 and 3rd. Their Strawberry Festival on June 20 will keep the kids occupied so parents can take a minute to relax in the natural beauty.

Spring kicks off festival season in South County starting with Daffodil Days in Wickford Village on April 18 and 19. The Misquamicut SpringFest Weekend on May 8-10 features an international food court, a petting zoo and carnival rides that are sure to thrill the whole family.
