Several popular art and holiday shows take place over the winter in South County. They are great places to pick up something unique for a holiday gift or a special treat for yourself. Don't miss the 44th Annual Holiday Pottery and Art Sale through December 21st at Helme House in South Kingstown, the Charlestown Gallery and Annual Holiday Show through December 28 at Charlestown Gallery in Charlestown, and the Celebrate the Joy Holiday Art Show through January 4th at the Back Room Art Gallery in Westerly.
Why not ring in the new year in South County? The Ocean House promises an elegant evening with their Taste of Broadway New Year's Eve Gala while their sister property, The Weekapaug Inn is hosting a dinner dance. If you're looking to celebrate earlier, enjoy the New Year's Eve Annual Bonfire at Ninigret Park in Charlestown and bring the kids, too.

Tilted Barn Brewery Opens in Exeter RI's newest officially licensed brewery and first farm brewery located in Exeter, opened it's doors to an overwhelming reception on November 22nd. Ocean State Hops, the farm that was producing hops for local breweries and beyond, is now be brewing their own beers. The first offerings, an IPA, a Pale Ale and a Pumpkin Jack went fast.
