Are you Responsive yet?
|
We are! "Responsive web design" is the practice of enhancing the user experience by adapting the web page layout to the device he or she is using when accessing the site.
The Council recently unveiled this newest marketing technology, "responsive web design," aimed at providing the optimal viewing experience across a wide range of devices - from desktop computers to mobile phones to iPads. The website automatically adjusts to the screen size and device used to view it, allowing for easy reading and navigation of the entire website.
Recognizing that our website visitors are no longer always behind a desktop, they interact with businesses using their mobile devices - whether or not it has a mobile content strategy. Multichannel focus is critical to online success: so we are thinking mobile first-
- By driving visitor's mobile content plans.
- By tracking the frequency that consumers access mobile sites, driving business needs.
- By building a solid foundation for mobile web content management.
"South County Tourism Council continues to lead tourism technology in South County by upgrading our website for our visitors and business partners," said Myrna George, president and CEO. "Visitors to southcountyri.com will appreciate the ease of finding what to see, stay and do, during their visit, via iphone, smartphone, ipad or desktop."
