Retriever Demonstrations and Dock Dogs
Retriever Demonstrations. The Retriever Demonstrations return to the Bay Street Ponds this year, accessible on the Orange Bus Line. The Waterfowl Festival is pleased to partner with the Talbot Retriever Club to showcase the amazing talent of some of the Shore's finest canines. The retrievers, with signals from their handlers, find and bring back decoys and bumpers after they are launched into the pond.
Retriever Demonstrations will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. A Festival ticket is required.
DockDogs. The Delmarva DockDogs® return to the Waterfowl Festival and will host their annual competition in the fields behind Easton Middle School, accessible on the Blue Bus Line. The stands fill quickly to watch dog after dog race down a dock to splash into a pool of water. The competition is to see which dog can remain airborne the farthest or highest, depending on which event is being contended.
The DockDogs® Competition will run throughout Festival hours on Friday - Sunday. A Festival ticket is required.
For more information about the DockDogs® competition and to register, visit their website.
