Layton's Chance Vineyard and Winery

The Layton family has been a presence in Dorchester County, Maryland agriculture since Joseph H. Layton, Sr. bought the original farm in 1948. Two generations of Laytons later, the idea of Layton's Chance Winery and Vineyard was brought to fruition. In an effort to diversify their farming operation the family planted their first grapes in 2007. Taking a leap of faith and a "chance," they planted grapes suited for the climate of the Eastern Shore and anxiously waited to see if their hard work would ever bear fruit. Bear it did, and in 2010, the family opened the winery that would come to be known as Layton's Chance. With a strong family bond and teamwork, the vineyard has since expanded from just six acres of grapes to fourteen and production has increased from five wines to nine in just four short years!

Eastern Shore Brewing

Located just down the road in St. Michaels, Md., Eastern Shore Brewing is a familiar vendor at the Tasting Pavilion. Eastern Shore Brewing opened it's doors September of 2008 thanks to the efforts of owners Adrian and Lori Moritz.  With their motto to "make a business out of something you love to do and you will never work another day in your life," Eastern Shore Brewing has grown to distribute throughout Maryland's entire Eastern Shore as well as Delaware. Keep your eyes peeled for popular brews such as St. Michaels Ale, Kilt Lifter Scotchish Ale, Magic Hefeweizen, and our favorite, DUCK DUCK GOOSE PORTER!

Pecan Yummies

For Festival veterans, a stop at Pecan Yummies has become an annual tradition. With the holidays right around the corner, these treats are a versatile go-to! For owner Amy Yule, Pecan Yummies began as a holiday tradition that grew into a successful business following the birth of her children. "It seemed like one day I was a University of Wisconsin grad, armed with a degree and a career in the making. And then the next day, I was married with child, using that degree in a much more "hands-on" manner."
