Federal
Sequestration - Do we know how our programs will be impacted by enactment of the automatic federal cuts?
In communications with the California Department of Education and our federal partners, unfortunately the impact is still unclear.
According to CDE, "...the piece of th federal grant that may be impacted is he Discretionary post of the Child Care Development Fund. That is about 1/2 of the federal funding."
From our federal partners, the following links are helpful:

DONATE TO CAPPA AND SAVE CHILD CARE
CAPPA is committed to continuing to advocate against the devastating cuts proposed by Governor Brown, provide support and training opportunities in addition to keeping the field updated on important and timely information via Save Child Care but we need your help.
We are asking for a donation to help us continue this important work- any amount is welcome. Together, we have united and have been successful in getting our message heard that families cannot work and be self sufficient without quality child care. Further, we have been on the front lines fighting to bring recognition of the needs of families, children, providers and the importance of the work that community based agencies and organizations do that serve low-income working families and children every day.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to partner with CAPPA and Save Child Care.
