Legislature Reconvenes Today with Many New Faces

To all welcome back!  The Legislature reconvenes today with the Assembly scheduled at noon and the Senate at 2:00 pm.  Today, the Capitol will be swarming with newly elected members and throngs of advocates and supporters all clammering to make their introductions.  This week will be punctuated by Thursday's release of the governor's proposed 2013-14 state budget.

For this upcoming session, each Senator and Assemblymember is allowed to introduce 40 bills total for a two-year session (per HR 1 (Skinner).  To date, 104 pieces of legislation have been introduced.
