It's been a year full of life changing events and amazing highlights. We wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank you, because none of this would have been possible without you.
Challenge, Change & Lead:

Challenge & Change:

Camp Patriot offers wounded veterans unique challenges that allow them to earn back confidence and prove to themselves that anything is possible.

Leadership:

A powerful transformation takes place after each adventure, our participants overcome the wounds of war and are ready to lead once again. Camp Patriot Alumni have gone on to leadership positions in the military and in their communities.

Relationships:

Camp Patriot events allow our staff an opportunity to build relationships with our participants. Our guides, staff and business partners become trusted mentors. It is through these very relationships that participants like Eric Cowin (2011), Kevin Ivory (2010) and others have successfully secured educational and career opportunities.

Programs:

Camp Patriot offered a variety of life changing programs in 2012, everything from Dog Sled Adventures to Big Game Hunts and Mountaineering. We helped to change lives, one veteran at a time. Below are some highlights;

-Andy Politz, 2012 Camp Patriot Mt. Rainier Guide & Mt. Everest Climbing Legend

Keith Zeier, USMC and Army Capt. Victor Munoz took on Mt. Rainier this past July as the members of the 2012 Mt. Rainier Summit Challenge Team. Keith is an above the knee amputee and Victor is a helicopter pilot who had both legs crushed in an accident. The team climbed for 20 hours straight to complete the round trip summit journey.

At one point Keith and his guide team were less than a mile from base camp. Keith's specially made climbing foot kept punching through the ice that was now made into slush by the later afternoon sun. A sled was sent up to carry him the short distance to base camp.

"Keith refused help, he made a promise to himself and the brothers that he lost, that he would never quit. He inspired us all, we proudly hiked the remainder of the trail by his side with tears in our eyes. It was one of the greatest display of courage I have ever witnessed."
