DURING MY SABBATICAL:
Somebody Just Pinch Me Now!
Thank you so much for your patience with me, while I took four months off for a Sabbatical! My actual downtime ended up to be only six glorious weeks, but the remainder of the prayer-intensive journey was spent on some rather phenomenal, God-sent opportunities.
You may have caught the eNews updates (for example, we were awarded our Third Accreditation without any help from me!), but before I share more highlights and pics of other Answered-Prayers between April 1st and August 1st, I want to ask you for a favor! Will you pray with me for our outstanding summer class of 22 Professional Certified Life Coach (PCLC) students (½ new + ½ alumni upgrading their certification)! They hail from all over the USA, including Alaska, and also from Australia. Thank you.
Now, I hope you enjoy this Only God! Story...
1. A special thank you to LPCCI Grads, Pastor Eddie + Linda Graber and their daughter Sarah Mann, who hosted me for a week, so I could prep for the 3-Hour Virginia webinar for the International Association of Christian Coaches (ICCA) and for a radio show with AACC President, Dr. Tim Clinton. From home-cooked meals, to chocolate mints on my pillow, mid-day snacks served upstairs on a tray, gifts, outfit-shopping (well...not Eddie!), locating a PPShow expert for me, and having the squirrels and deer appear on cue, this family was my "Statue of Liberty" ~ Comfort for the Weary, Spent, and Hungry! (much-paraphrased)
2. I decided to accept a precious, continual invitation from my daughter-in-love and son to live across the street from them in Colorado! So we sold my California home, packed up LPCCI, and I signed a contract to purchase a small (1605 sq. ft. single story) house that will be built by Thanksgiving 2015, Lord willing and the creek don't rise. Hold on to your hats...it is fifteen steps across the street, porch-to-porch, from my first- and third-grade grandsons' home and seven houses down from their school. So when their mom needs to go to Staff Meetings at 7am Tues/Thurs mornings for her new second-grade teaching job at the boys' school (Go Julie!), my GBoys can scoot to my house in their PJ's for breakfast, and I can walk them to school at 8:40am Mountain Time. We plan to have Walkie-Talkies as our communication tools; their code names are Little Falcon and Little Chief, and I am Wise Owl. Julie's name is Mama Bird, and my son chose Bald Eagle...Ha!
 
3. The other big news regarding this prayerful decision is that the 1605 sq. ft. basement can serve as our brand new LPCCI HEADQUARTERS!

Eventually, with the Lord's help, it will include an 800 sq. ft., 15-person training room (with a wanna be kitchenette and snack shack!), all of which can double as a large-screen Movie Theater for doing Strategic 2-Day LifePlans (appropriately called Your Life On the Movie Screen). Perhaps something like this...
The Only God! Basement is slated to have a client Guest Room (and one fine day...a bathroom, too!) with an office for an Intern from Colorado State University (4.2 miles away) to help out, all the while maintaining the city codes for a home office. I already bought the CSU T-shirt, so this entire adventure must be real, but somebody had better pinch me to make sure that I'm not just day-dreaming my 1988 Dream ad infinitum! This Basement Office will save LPCCI a great deal of money in leasing fees over the next ten years alone, and I will have a very short commute to work! [Please keep the Grabers in your prayers for their perseverance in pursuing a $14 million dollar property that is one hour from Fort Collins; it would be ideal for Large Group Trainings, them, and me!]

Property Description
Twin Pines Lodge is a sprawling 3,800 sq. ft. authentic hand-crafted, full-log home--with a 2-level deck--nestled on a peaceful one-acre, private lakefront property on Sun Valley Lake at an 8,500 ft. elevation, bordering Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) and the Arapahoe Nat'l Forest--yet only 3 miles from downtown Grand Lake.
Property has a private dock, sandy beach, canoe, stand-up paddle board (SUP), pedal boat, kayak, inner tubes, fishing poles, life vests, 4 mountain bikes (2 kids, 2 adults), 2 fire pits (1 wood, 1 propane), a sand volleyball court, tether ball, corn hole, ladder ball, hammock, horseshoe pit, ping pong, foosball, snow shoes, and outdoor sauna. It is within walking distance to RMNP hiking trails, the Colorado River, 150 miles of ATV trails, and everything you need for the Colorado experience you're dreaming of...such as the nearby guided horseback rides, basketball courts, square dancing, and cowboy-poetry readings. The friendly town of Grand Lake is less than 5 minutes away and offers a full-service marina for renting jet-skis. Wander the downtown Boardwalk and explore local art galleries, gift shops, restaurants, live music cafes, ice-cream shops, mini-golf, go-karts, and live theatre productions. And...yes, an 18-hole golf course is 3 miles away!
Relax on the large deck overlooking the pristine mountain lake shoreline and take a deep breath of clean mountain air in this classic Colorado Mountain setting with towering pine, aspen groves, brilliant wildflowers, soaring mountain views, and total peaceful seclusion. Don't be surprised by Moose, Elk, Deer, Fox, Otter, Beaver, Bear, Osprey, Hummingbirds that are frequent visitors.
The cozy "Historic Side" of the cabin has four (4) bedrooms: a King master-with ensuite full bath to be shared via a posted schedule ($95N/475Total), large 4-bunk Bunkroom ($15N Upper Twin/75@T; $30N Lower Double/150@T), small queen bedroom ($65N/325T), and queen loft bedroom (already reserved). Rollaway beds are also available ($25N/125 per personT) for a wide variety of nooks and crannies in the cabin, but only if all rooms are full. Rates throughout the entire home are based on a 5-Night Minimum. Surcharge of $20/night to add an extra person to a Queen room and $30/night to a King room. This side also has a full kitchen/dining area (seats 14+) that opens to an intimate family room, another 3/4 bath, and a loft family room/TV area with Satellite and an extensive library of books, DVD's, Wii games, board games, and puzzles.
The "Chalet Side" has a huge wall of windows overlooking the lake and mountains, plus soaring 30 ft ceilings. It has three (3) bedrooms: a King master bedroom ($90N/450T), queen bedroom w/ convertible twin ($75N/375T), and a loft/library with queen futon ($45N/225T), and full bath. It has an open-concept kitchen with a Great Room, plus half-bath and laundry room.
The two living areas are connected via a large central front entrance into a convenient large foyer/mudroom, with doors that can close off each side for privacy. Both kitchens are fully equipped with two of almost everything! A large outside deck spans the entire back of the home overlooking the lake, with seating for 14+, a propane fire pit, and a gas grill.
