PRESIDENT'S REPORT
SUBMITTED BY DR. JEFF JERNIGAN, PRESIDENT
LIFE PURPOSE COACHING CENTERS INTERNATIONAL® (LPCCI)
LPCCI...Now a TRIPLE-ACCREDITED School
of Christian Coach Education for Strategic Equipping of Influencers
Dear Dr. Brazelton,
This report is to inform you of the good news we just received from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). As we have discussed over the years, this agency is to mental health facilities what the Joint Commission is to hospitals. In both healthcare worlds, accreditation is mandatory to become a state-licensed treatment facility.
As you know in your role as the Academic Dean for Full Circle Recovery (FCR), a Professional Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Center in Southern California, the CARF accreditation team recently toured FCR, including the Life Care Center, which is our LPCCI Coaching and Coach Training Center, as well as our beta-testing, development site for coach curricula.
As the Clinical Director for FCR, I shadowed the surveyors for three days. They thoroughly evaluated every aspect of the work we do, including the credentials of everyone involved, the standard practices, educational goals, and curricula; they interviewed staff, students, and clients. They were very impressed with everything, starting with your credentials right down to what we serve in the kitchen.
We showcased the role of LPCCI in the larger scope of what FCR does...
- Use of your 12 Steps for Believers® as one of our treatment modalities
- Use of your book, The One Year Recovery Prayer Devotional, with our inpatient and outpatient clients
- Teaching of three LPCCI courses in our school, which is already accredited by the International Association of Continuing Education Training (IACET) and by the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) for their Board Certified Coach (BCC) program
- Training and supervising of graduate interns from local universities, specifically those seeking to become Professional Certified Life Coaches, Master Coaches, or licensed therapists.
Bottom line...everything we do at Full Circle Recovery was approved for international accreditation for a term of three years (at which time we will be reviewed again, of course). This gives FCR + LPCCI a highly sought-after professional recognition for the quality of the educational services we provide that meet or exceed CARF international standards!
This accreditation at FCR will have a global impact on all our LPCCI training centers around the world, including what Dr. Lendell Nolan is doing at his South West Center; what Dr. Viviane Haenni is doing in France/ Switzerland/ Spain; what Sanèl and Cassie le Roux are doing in South Africa; what Cindy Tannehill and Dianne DeJong are doing in Canada-West for the Grand Opening in September (!); what Kathy Butryn is doing in Canada-East; what my wife Nancy (a doctoral candidate) and I are doing in Malaysia; and what Cindy, Nancy, and Lendell are doing in China.
I humbly report: Because Life Purpose Coaching Centers International® now has a Coaching and Coach Training Center that is part of a CARF-accredited, state-licensed facility, our worldwide Instructor network (specifically those who are being trained in 2015 and who graduate with highest honors from this re-certification program), can post an approved statement on their website about this distinguished affiliation.
Amazing, isn't it, how our Good Lord works?!
Though many in the universal coaching field have thought that coaching would never rise to this level of professionalism, the past and recent blessings on LPCCI as a triple-accredited, international Coaching and Coach Training Provider demonstrates it can be done.
On the clinical side of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), there are many CARF- approved mental health treatment facilities, because that is obviously the gold standard for this type of care.
However, we are awaiting news as to whether the inclusion of FCR's Life Care Center (a LPCCI Coaching and Coach Training Center) as an integral part of a CARF-accredited, state-licensed facility is a first in AACC's International Christian Coaching Association (ICCA)! Regardless, Dr. B., this positions you (an ICCA Board Member and speaker for the 4th time this fall at the AACC World Conference in Tennessee), even more, as a Coach thought-leader in a recognized, international profession and as a leading expert in the development of triple-accredited coaching curricula.
Allow me to ask you to pause for a moment to recall the Christian coaching vision God gave you in 1988 on a train from Pisa to Rome-and that He continued to enlarge in 2006 on the Montage Resort balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean with Nancy and me-your LPCCI Vision-Casting Retreat Team.
Can you believe that God's Plan has now taken root in at least six countries and continues to grow through His abundant favor and grace? Please smile as you recall that this FCR CARF-accreditation and state license make LPCCI and its worldwide network more attractive to colleges and universities, which (not surprisingly at all) is promising to be our next anointed step for our glorious King coming alongside our continued, exciting initiative to launch Church Centers on every continent!
May God continue to enlarge your vision, your support teams, your joy, and your time of Sabbatical refreshment,
Dr. Jeff Jernigan
