Today, I was rereading parts of Dr. Viktor Frankl's book, Man's Search for Meaning, when the phone rang. The caller was a delightful woman who was inquiring about Coach training. As we chatted, she asked me if people seemed to be as hungry as she was for God's purpose for their lives and if they realized they needed a Life Purpose Coach®. Let me answer that question for others now (who might be wondering the same thing) by sharing an underlined section from Frankl's book:
"...I turn to the detrimental influence of that feeling of which so many patients complain today, namely, the feeling of the total and ultimate meaninglessness of their lives. They lack the awareness of a meaning worth living for. They are haunted by the experience of their inner emptiness, a void within themselves; they are caught in that situation which I have called the existential vacuum....the lack of content in their lives...the void within themselves..." (pages 110-112).
Yes, people are hungry for purpose, for a fascination in their soul, for their Divine Urge, for a passionate calling on their lives; they want to make a unique contribution for the Lord! Join us in helping them discover and fulfill who God designed them to be eons ago, before the world began. Join us in having the greatest job on earth--helping people find significance in Christ, in their godly relationships, and in their anointed life mission. Help us lead churches into this Holy Spirit movement of life purpose coaching, so countless congregants can understand and act on the yearnings, burden, and aches that God has placed in their hearts to know Him and do His Will!

Introducing New Life Purpose Coach®
Dr. John Fernandez
Corpus Christi, TX
Dr. John Fernandez completed his career in the U.S. Air Force as a Lt. Colonel, after serving in various locations, including two tours in the Pentagon. He then held executive positions in industry, including CEO of a consulting services company serving government and business clients. Subsequently, he accepted a position at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi where he rose from Assistant to Full Professor, and Associate Director of the School of Engineering and Computing Sciences. Dr. John has a wealth of military, industry, and academic experience which makes him a good coach for men in all walks of life. He has coached or mentored hundreds of individuals: military, civilian, business, and university faculty, staff, and students. He's watched scores of men become successful in their careers, as well as in life. Many still seek him out for assistance.
After carefully reviewing coach training programs available across the country, John selected LPCCI because of its strong Christian focus, the excellent training program, and the leadership provided by Dr. Katie Brazelton. He's now certified as a Life Purpose Coach®; check out his Landing Page on our worldwide Coach Map and his own website for Corpus Christi Life Coaching.
Dr. John is currently finishing off his career in academia with the spring 2014 semester. He's launching his efforts to connect with pastors, counselors, and other professionals focused on human and social services to make them aware of his coaching services to men by telephone or face-to-face. In this third photo, John is using an iPhone and a Plantronics mic and speaker system. He's focused on his client in active listening mode. He reminds us all that God gave us one mouth and two ears, so we can listen twice as much as we talk!

You have a peaceful presence and a very gentle manner and are very easy to talk to. I felt like you really listened to me, not only in the words that I was saying but also what I was feeling in my heart.
 John is excited about his retirement so he can dedicate his time to working more directly with members of the family of God in need of coaching. John is in discussions with a local office complex to rent space for local area coaching sessions. He's considering teaching one course as an adjunct professor in the fall 2014 semester to maintain his connection with students and the entire university community. But John seeks only one thing and that is to do God's will above all else. His wife, Dr. Mary Alice Fernandez, is a professor in the counseling program; she's licensed by Texas and certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. She's totally focused on working with students to get them into the community to help others with a faith perspective. She will work with John to help couples with their relationships. They are praying that God will always guide them to serve wherever he pleases. They also pray that their children and grandchildren will continue to walk closely with the Lord and fulfill his purposes for their individual lives.
