by his marvelous grace.
(Galatians 1:15 NIV)

Greetings!

Hope you enjoy this update about one of our Life Purpose Coach Instructors, Cindy Tannehill, who's on a God-size coaching mission! Next month, you'll get to meet Dr. Phyllis Alderman, also a LPCCI grad on a fascinating journey. And don't miss the Coaching Challenge in the Sign-Off Block!

Check out a Sneak Peek of our speech scheduled for the AACC Conference in TN in September. We sure hope to grab a cup of coffee with you to play catch-up or get to know you!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALUMNI: If you are interested in becoming a Recovery Coach (as one of your niche coaching specialties) and you feel that God is prompting you to do so, please let us know now that you want us to reserve a spot for you in the August Tele-Conference training. Because The One Year Recovery Prayer Devotional: 365 Daily Meditations toward Discovering Your True Purpose comes out in September and is already showing huge pre-sale numbers, we know now that we're going to need a lot more LPCCI Recovery Coaches than we currently have. Training details will be released in early July. You'll need to get on the list now, though, to hold your spot.

A Life Purpose Coaching Center (whether in a church, para-church organization, or private practice) offers clients coaching toward God's plan in specialized areas such as recovery, finances, health & wellness, marriage, parenting, career, leadership, hope, grief, relationships, and more.

Honoring Life Purpose Coach:
 Cindy Tannehill
Wichita, Kansas

Levels 1-5 Graduate and Instructor

A desire to do more in Christ's church has taken Cindy Tannehill on an incredible journey that began in 2006 with Dr. B and Life Purpose Coach Training in Laguna Beach, California.
CINDY IN MIDDLE BACK ROW

Although Cindy has now coached more than 150 women, facilitated at least 40 Life Purpose 2-Day Plans, and trained some of those as new coaches, she believes God has mapped another remarkable destination for her journey...to establish a model for Coaching and Leadership Centers within churches throughout the world.

Cindy has written the Growing An Alive Church series that she's currently teaching and testing at her own church, area churches, and the United Methodist Church (UMC) Lay Servant training in Kansas. This model utilizes training through workbooks, classes, workshops, and coaching to help both ministry leaders and laity discover that God wants to use every person's gifts, passions, and leadership skills to fulfill His purposes through Kingdom work.

One of the many things Cindy has learned is that preparation and God's timing are critical to any God-sized vision. She tried to launch her vision a few years ago on her timetable but quickly discovered God was saying. "Not yet!"

However, two years ago, the pace of this journey changed. Cindy was asked by her church, Chapel Hill UMC, to start a Leadership and Coaching Academy. She now serves on staff as Director of Leadership of this fast-growing church, which is now a test-site for the model that Cindy would like for other coaches and churches to adopt. Being invited to serve on several UMC district committees, as well as being asked to serve on the Episcopacy Committee of the UMC Great Plains Conference (Kansas/Nebraska) in an advisory role to Bishop Scott Jones, has given Cindy opportunities and exposure only God could have planned. One such opportunity was being gifted a year of study at the Kansas Leadership Center to better understand how faith-based organizations can play a key role in solving the many adaptive challenges facing communities through leadership and coaching skills. Cindy's trust in God continues to grow as He leads her on this amazing journey to establish a model for Coaching and Leadership Centers within churches throughout the world. She's working closely with Life Purpose Coaching Centers International to work out major, inter-related details!

Cindy and her husband, Charlie, also a Life Purpose Coach, look forward to all that God will do to inspire coaches in churches with more passion and purposed-led laity work to make a Kingdom difference in families, communities, the USA, and the world.

Launching a Life Coaching Center in Your Church:
A Crash Course with the Experts
Drs. K. Brazelton and L. Nolan

Abstract
Do you have a God-led, passionate desire to launch a Life Coaching Center in your church, but the thought of it is overwhelming to you? Why start from scratch? This highly interactive, multi-media workshop presents strategic tools, demos, and practical exercises to equip you to accomplish your godly goal. It utilizes the hands-on experience of Drs. Katie Brazelton and Lendell Nolan, who can reveal the unique opportunities and challenges related to coaching in church environments. Take advantage of the coaching style with which they'll help you cast denominational vision and secure pastoral buy-in. Let them give you useable statistics and chat with you about your church budget, a myriad of coach-training opportunities to fit your church's needs, daily logistics of a Coaching Center, topic-driven niche coaching add-ons, and church pricing versus how you protect your private-practice pricing. Leave with knowledge, practical applications, and a formula of how you'll launch your church's Coaching Center.

Learning Objectives
Participants will:
1. Be able to articulate and manage the importance of vision alignment between God, their denomination, their local church, and their own goals in regard to life coaching.

2. Identify different ways to market to church clients and bill clients in a church setting, while managing their own private, coaching business in partnership with their church-based, Coaching Center.

3. Explore the strategies and wisdom of starting small with low-cost probes and then following the Law of Two Creations (mental and physical realities)-taking the church from a "cubicle-run" mentality of one male and one female coach to actual church coaching space, furniture, clear signage, approved curriculum, and the training of additional coaches.

Life Purpose Coach Challenge
TO ACCEPT THAT HUMAN BEINGS (U + THEY+ I) ARE IMPERFECT!

The truth is that, as children of God, we were created to resemble Christ. We're actually "hidden with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:3), meaning our spirits are forever safe and secure in a heavenly place, and the evil one can't destroy us. Living daily in this reality encourages us to resist temptation, rather than caving in pessimistically at the first sign of a devilish attack. We begin to develop a right view of self, understanding that human beings are imperfect but that God is patient with us, and that compassion must begin at home-with ourselves! We stop comparing ourselves to others, and we begin to live in gratitude, remembering that God has a regal plan for our lives. We lean into the joy that Thomas Merton (a Trappist monk who took the name Father Louis when he was ordained as a priest) described: "Be good, keep your feet dry, your eyes open, your heart at peace and your soul in the joy of Christ." (from Feb 6 of new Recovery Devotional)

Blessings on your summer!
