Roseann Slonsky-Breault for CFRW President
|
|
As she runs to become the next President of the California Federation of Republican Women, Oakland's Roseann Slonsky-Breault brings a passion and 10 years of leadership experience in the women's federation. Roseann is currently President of the Northern Division of the CFRW. There are three divisions of the state Federation, and Northern has over half of California's counties. The new officers for the next two years will be selected at the state CFRW Convention October 25-27 in Stockton. The new President will head the state organization, which includes nearly 200 clubs. ( Find a club near you.) The official CFRW Nominating Committee nominated Roseann Slonsky-Breault as President. Other candidates may also run. Roseann's main goals in running are: 1) Being creative to reach more new members, 2) Having a strong presence in our communities, 3) Educating members and students, and 4) Electing Republican candidates at all levels. She wants to effectively market the CFRW. See the details here. Northern Division Treasurer Laura Riffle says "Roseann will be a terrific President for CFRW. Her energy and enthusiasm will help us grow in the coming 2 years." After serving as President of her home club, the Piedmont Area Republican Women Federated for 2 years, Roseann Slonsky-Breault moved up through the ranks of the Northern Division, serving as a Regional Director, 3rd, 2nd and 1st Vice President, and finally President. She is proud of the many accomplishments Northern Division has made the past 2 years. They have put resource information for members on their website, set up a Victory 2012 site with volunteer opportunities, worked on creative ways to keep down conference costs, and hosted successful campaign schools at their conferences, among other things. Roseann has also had good success in efforts to recruit new members. Various clubs, as well as the 2010 Winter Conference, have invited her to present talks and workshops on "Growing Our Clubs". The National Federation of Republican Women has benefitted from Roseann's service, as well. She has served on the Membership Committee, chaired the Americanism Committee, and this year was elected to the select national Nominating Committee. Roseann has been involved directly in the Republican Party. She is a CRP Delegate and member of the Alameda County Central Committee. She chaired the Alameda County Party in 2011. She has also held county leadership roles in several statewide campaigns. Professionally, Roseann has worked in the textile and fashion business in creative marketing and product management. She has also taught Creative Marketing classes at local community colleges. She and her husband live in Oakland. Roseann will be speaking at the BayAreaGOP hospitality suite at the Anaheim Convention. You can learn more about Roseann on her Facebook page.

Come to the Anaheim CRP Convention October 4-6
I hope you'll join me at the upcoming California Republican Party Fall Convention in Anaheim. I expect it to be fun, interesting, and important.
Key decisions will be made regarding Republican Party endorsements and nominations. We need to make sure that our full Bay Area delegation is represented.
For a Southern California convention, this means that a number of Associate Delegates are needed to carry proxy votes. If you're interested in being an Associate, you need to be appointed by Tuesday, September 17. You may get the Associate information and form and contact me if you need assistance.
Texas Governor Rick Perry, Republican National Committee Co-Chair Sharon Day, and Oregon Congressman Greg Walden, Chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee, will be the featured speakers. In addition, there will be committee meetings, workshops, hospitality suites, the General Session, and lots of dedicated and fun Republicans.
Don't wait too long to make your hotel reservation and do your pre-registration. You can find that and other information about the Convention on our BayAreaGOP Convention Page.
You are invited to attend the traditional BayAreaGOP hospitality suites on Friday and Saturday night at 10 pm. You'll be able to meet other Bay Area Republicans. Refreshments will be provided.
If you are a Delegate who cannot attend the Sunday General Session or an Associate Delegate who can carry a proxy, please contact the county coordinator for your county:
