A TOWER OF GIRAFFES: Animals in Groups, written and illustrated by Anna Wright.

Mountains & Plains would like to thank these wonderful people at Charlesbridge Publishing for their permission and invaluable assistance: Megan Bencivenni Quinn, Stephanie Pessolano, Susan Sherman, and Mackenzie Van Engelenhoven.

A TOWER OF GIRAFFES: Animals in Groups written and illustrated by Anna Wright. A drove of pigs, a romp of otters, an ostentation of peacocks, and a tower of giraffes. ... This clever book introduces young readers to some of the words we use to refer to animals in a group. The ink, watercolor, and fabric collage art is brightly colored and uniquely sets this fun book apart from the crowd. Author and illustrator Anna Wright's work has been featured in House & Garden, Country Life, and Artists & Illustrators.

Owner Nicole Sullivan:

(pictured above)

We've seen a sales increase of 21.25%

"I just wanted to tell you the good news that we celebrated our 2nd birthday on Friday [June 5]. At the end of year two, we've seen a sales increase of 21.25% over year one, are completing our expansion and looking into year three, where we will celebrate the opening of our expanded space and begin work on our author bed and breakfast upstairs as well as growing BookClubHub.org.

We so appreciate the support ...

We so appreciate the support we've enjoyed from our community and from the book industry and just love that we have become a hub for literary gatherings. Most of all - we love all the books we are selling to people who are reading them!

Thanks for all you all do that allows us to do what we love to do so much. Cheers to many, many more years."

Regional Bookseller Essay Collection
to Benefit Binc

Unbridled Books to Publish
Nine Book Series; McNaughton & Gunn
and ExpressEdit.Net in Support

Independent booksellers across the country are asked to submit personal essays for a nine-book series of regional paperbacks to be published by Unbridled Books with printing support by McNaughton & Gunn and edited by Carl Lennertz of ExpressEdit.net.

Ron Rice, editor of My Bookstore, will gather the essays for publication, and Bob Minzesheimer, formerly of USA Today (and now an indie bookseller), will write a foreword for each volume.

The books' content will mirror the territories of the regional associations. Each book will be published, one or two titles a year, when a sufficient number of essays is received to produce a complete book.

Essays should be about each bookseller's unique experience in his or her current or home state - life, travels, observations - past or present. After design and production costs are recouped, remaining profits will go to BINC, the Book Industry Charitable Foundation.

Carl Lennertz:

"I am so excited that Fred Ramey and Greg Michalson of Unbridled and Julie McFarland at McNaughton & Gunn see the joy of supporting a vehicle for bookseller authors to be published, as well as supporting a literacy cause. And yay re Ron and Bob, two great booklovers!"

Fred Ramey:

"Greg and I have always admired independent booksellers and we love publishing diverse voices from around the country, so this is a natural for us."

Julie McFarland:

"McNaughton & Gunn is proud to support the publishing industry and our local communities through regional booksellers and literacy programs."

Pam French:

"We are thrilled to be the beneficiary of this exciting project. Thank you to everyone involved. This support will allow the Binc Foundation to continue helping booksellers across the nation who experience a personal financial crisis."

Full details about the series and submission guidelines are available from Unbridled Books.

All submissions should be sent to Carl Lennertz at EditorCarl@iCloud.com.
