Some pieces are created by artists working together in the same medium, and other pieces are combined efforts of artists working across disciplines. Also, 15 artists improvised together on a large canvas, producing a giant wildly colored mixed media canvas, measuring 4'x8'. The painting, titled "WREN-Shed" will be on display as part of the show. If it sells, proceeds will go towards materials and installation off a new community mural in Bethlehem this summer. North Country Chorus Spring Concerts

Saturday, May 2, 7:30pm
Bradford Congregational Church
Bradford, VT
www.northcountrychorus.org

North Country Chorus is joined by the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltones and the St. Johnsbury School Chorus, presenting Carmina Burana by Carl Orff and several short works. With a deliberately simplified style, characterized by its rhythmic energy and repetition of short melodic phrases, the cantata immediately appealed to the public and has remained a favorite ever since. The text of Carmina Burana is from a large collection of secular poems of the 12th and 13th centuries. Apart from some poems that are morally uplifting, most are bawdy student songs celebrating such un-monklike earthly delights as drinking, gambling, dancing and lovemaking. Tickets are available in advance from www.catamountarts.org or at the door. Visit the website for more details on the Chorus and its activities.
Also performing the Spring Concert on Friday, May 1, 7:30pm at First Congregational Church, Littleton and on Sunday, May 3, 3pm at the South Congregational Church, St. Johnsbury, VT
