Promoting, Supporting and Sustaining Arts, Culture and Heritage in the North Country
Happy New Year! Many people start a new year with a list of resolutions. Why not add a fun component to your list? 2014 is the year that I'm going to support all of the wonderful cultural and arts opportunities available throughout the region by attending events, purchasing locally made products and signing up for workshops. You can also lend your support to arts across the region by becoming a member of the Arts Allliance and/or sending a donation to our annual fund. Don't forget to check out all of our great member organizations in this e-bulletin, and, when you visit them, mention that you learned about them right here.
Bulletin instructions: If this e-bulletin comes through for you as one long text message, click on the Arts Alliance website at www.aannh.org for the user-friendly version. Choose "Join our e-list" in the left-hand column, then enter your email address. You will receive an email from the Arts Alliance. Click to update your Profile. At the bottom of the Profile page, select HTML format. Save your changes. That should solve the problem and allow you to view the bulletin more easily.
The bulletin, for you and your guests, is arranged by sub-regions from north to south and by date. Please be sure to confirm details and hours prior to attending events or visiting sites. Use our "jump to" function (in the column to the left under the In This Issue section), which allows you to go directly to your geographic areas of interest. You can view our complete ArtsNorth calendar for additional details; a link is available in the Quick Links section.
The e-bulletin lists the events and programs of Arts Alliance member organizations, businesses and artists. If you would like us to list your events, we invite you to join the Arts Alliance now! Membership provides essential support so that we can continue to bring programs as well as services like the e-bulletin and calendar to you, your families, colleagues, customers, neighbors and friends throughout the year. Your member card offers discounts on a variety of programs and at many of the region's best restaurants, venues and creative businesses. Click here for details and to join.
New individual and organizational members who join before our Annual Meeting on January 21 will be entered into a raffle for "American Cardinal," a beautiful print by artist Jeanette Fournier. Schools that join or renew prior to January 21 will be eligible to win a free program from NH's "Moose of Humor," Rebecca Rule.
Please be sure to let us know if any listings need to be updated as we move into the heart of winter.
The submission deadline for the next bulletin, covering January 30-February 26, is January 21.
