The Animals' Perspectives and Stories
About Death, The Other Side & Coming Back
Dear Friends, Clients and Colleagues,
We all learn so much from deeply loving and living with the animals in our lives. Over the years, I have been blessed to hear hundreds of their stories in which they describe their feelings, their thoughts and their experiences of dying and what it's like for them in the spirit world. These stories chronicle so much peace, so much healing and so much love--such wondrous experiences, even when there has been trauma preceding death-- that any fears or concerns I may have had about death and the afterlife have been eliminated. In fact, from all they have taught me, even though I have so much I want to still do in this life and hope I'm here until I'm about 90, I look forward to my own physical death and transition back to the spirit world. Any understanding and wisdom I may have of these issues is from the animals, for which I am very grateful.
Not long ago I spoke with a horse on the other side--the beloved horse of a woman who is very ill. The horse had just died at 31 years old, and the elderly woman will be leaving fairly soon. When they spoke of this, the woman asked him if she would see him after she died. He said:
"I will not only see you, I will be first in line. I have spoken to other souls who know
and love you here, and it is agreed that I will be first in line to meet you.
I will come to you as you are leaving your body and
I will carry you home."
The love between these two beings is so profound it is beyond words. It was quite an honor to feel that love wash through me as I helped them speak with one another. I wish them infinite love, contentment and joy as they are soon reunited. My heart is grateful and full, having been touched by the grace of their connection. And it reminded me of how many animals on the other side have said the same thing--that they will be there for their beloved human when they physically die.
Another message that took my breath away was one from a bird, shortly after his death, for his person:
"After we die from our physical life, when we come here,
there are only two things that matter at all about our recent earth life:
The quality of love that we gave and the love we allowed ourselves to receive
and how open we were to embrace the opportunities to grow that came our way.
Everything, every detail beyond this is just background and contextual detail
about how we experienced love and learning."
Then he added, "Oh, and there's no schedule or points or grades or anything about doing this!"
I think about this message a lot, and how true it seems that if we love well--both in giving and receiving love--and always remain open to our continual growth for all that comes on our path, then we are surely living a full and satisfying life. I also loved his last line about there being no grades, points or schedule!
I am blessed to hear many stories from the animals that deeply touch me, teach me, and help me let go of fear and anxiety when I am facing the death of one of my own loved ones. Because there are far too many stories to put in a newsletter, and my book on this topic is not yet complete, I've put a few dozen of these accounts from the animals in an on demand teleclass format so that those of you who want to hear more from the animals can have easy access to it. Many clients request this information because they long to understand more about what happens to our beloved animals after death.
