Registrations submitted after the Nov. 1 deadline will be subject to a $10 (per person) late fee.

For those traveling to Chillicothe on Thursday, a
pre-convention Italian dinner will be served at
St. Paul's, Chillicothe, on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 5
p.m. Cost is $17.50 per person and includes
salad, entree, dessert and drinks.

Celtic Service at St. John's

 

Who are the saints that have been in your life?  St. John's, Worthington, will celebrate the saints at a Celtic service on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. in the Atrium.


 
Our lay-led service celebrates the essential goodness at the heart of every person and the intertwining of the spiritual and the material, of heaven and earth, and time and eternity. Please come and bring a friend.

Health insurance webinars

Prior to open enrollment the Medical Trust will conduct several interactive webinars regarding health insurance options offered by the Medical Trust. You will be able to ask questions and receive feedback during the webinars. 

The one-hour Member Education webinars are open to everyone at no cost however, the Medical Trust has requested a registration process so we may track the number of attendees expected for each webinar. 

Although the webinar's primary focus will be health insurance, questions regarding pension or retirement will be addressed at the end of each webinar. 

The Medical Trust will be using "Go to Meeting" as the interface for the webinar. Registrants will need high speed internet access and speakers to participate.

Appalachian Small Grants

 

Episcopal Appalachian Ministries offers small grants through funding made available from the Episcopal Church General Convention. These grants are in place to help enable new or start-up ministries with the "seed money" needed in establishing a new ministry.  The money is granted for specific needs at the grass-roots level.

 

Grants usually range in size from $500 to $2,000. The deadline for the fall grant period is Oct. 31.

Fauré Requiem 

 

Ascension and Holy Trinity, Wyoming, will hold a special All Saints Sunday evening service on Nov, 2 at 5 p.m. 

The beautiful Fauré Requiem will be offered by the Chancel Choir. All are welcome to join us for this prayerful service of remembrance. Eucharist will be celebrated in honor of all the saints, past, present, and yet to come.

Prayer retreat opportunity with Bishop Frank Griswold
 
Griswold Christ Church, Glendale is very excited to host the former Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, the Rt. Rev. Frank W. Griswold, for a special retreat weekend November 7-9. 

Bishop Griswold served as the chief pastor and head bishop of our church for 9 years from 1998-2006. The focus of his visit will be the many types of and occasions for prayer, and how prayer deepens both our personal companionship with Christ, and also animates, strengthens, and guides our common ministries. There will be a dinner with a keynote address from Bishop Griswold on Friday evening (6:30 to 8 p.m.), a day long prayer workshop on Saturday (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.), and he will be with us for worship on Sunday. 

A limited number of tickets are available for this event on a first come, first serve basis.  Cost for tickets is $30 per person to help cover the cost of meals. Treasurer's workshop speaker: The Rev. Gerald W. Keucher

 

Father Gerald Keucher is the author of Remember the Future: Financial Leadership and Asset Management for Congregations (2006); Humble and Strong: Mutually Accountable Leadership (2010) and Back from the Dead: The Book of Congregational Growth (2012).

 

Prior to joining the Episcopal Church Foundation as a consultant, Keucher served as Chief of Finance and Operations for the Episcopal Diocese of New York where he worked directly with many congregations to manage and secure their assets and financial future. 

 

A gifted linguist, he has taught Greek and Hebrew at Princeton Theological Seminary and Yale Divinity School. Keucher is a priest in the Episcopal Church and holds an S.T.M. from Yale Divinity School, and an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary.


 

Keucher will be leading a course on best practices of financial management. The curriculum is designed to help parish administrators, bookkeepers, church secretaries and treasurers grow in their professionalism as they manage the finances of the church. Wardens and vestry members are also encouraged to attend.
 

The Treasurer's workshop will be held at the Procter Center on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Registration begins at 9:30. Click here to register online. The cost for the workshop is $15.

The Director of Communications will report to the Rector and the Administrative Committee and is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all church communications within and outside the church. Duties include overseeing and facilitating church communications through written, verbal, and electronic media. The Director of Communications will develop and work in collaboration with Redeemer staff, ministry champions, and volunteers to achieve communications goals.

Organist/Music Director 
St. Paul's, Dayton, is seeking applications for organist and/or Music Director.  St. Paul's has a long history of supporting an elite level church music program in the Miami Valley with adult, youth and bell choirs. We are looking for an energetic and collaborative leader who can bring our program back to the level our community has been accustomed to. We are awaiting the arrival of a new console built by the Cornel Zimmer Organ co. that will drive the 33 rank 1957 Austin pipe organ.

Staff Accountant (part-time)

St. Thomas, Terrace Parks, seeks a staff accountant (20-24 hrs/week) to serve the church and its direct subsidiary ministries by providing responsibility for all financial facets and transactions of the parish and the respective reports.  This includes but is not limited to maintaining financial records, handling accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing financial reports for the parish and assisting the Rector, staff, finance committee and parishioners with all fiscal related matters and membership records. Youth Director (part-time)

St.Barnabas, Montgomery, is seeking a part-time Youth Director to provide leadership to an active group of young teens. 


With a strong volunteer base, this leader would be asked to organize and oversee monthly social and outreach activities while building relationships among the youth.
