Watch a video to donate pork to food banks

With a computer and a few spare minutes, Ohioans can help feed a local family in need. For each view of its "Pork from Fork to Farm" video on YouTube, the Ohio Pork Producers Council will donate one pound of pork to Ohio foodbanks.

According to the Ohio Association of Foodbanks, pork is one of the most important protein sources it is able to provide all year. And the donation comes at a good time. New Food Research and Action Center statistics show that one in five Ohioans reported at least one point in the last year when they did not have enough money to buy food. Hog farmers in Ohio have donated more than 750,000 meals to Ohio foodbanks since 2009. This donation will take place in mid-March.
