Great Cookie Caper Dec. 8
Christmas and cookies go together! Sometimes getting around to baking the holiday cookies challenges our busy holiday schedules. If you would like to choose from an extensive assortment of homemade Christmas cookies and candy for the holidays without all the work, come to the 3rd Annual Great Cookie Caper at St. Thomas on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. St. Thomas is located at 100 Miami Ave., Terrace Park. In addition to providing yourself, your family and friends with an array of delicious cookies and candies, you will be helping those who struggle with providing day to day essentials for their families. The Great Cookie Caper benefits Inter Parish Ministry and the St. Thomas Discretionary Fund, which in turn aid those in need. Last year nearly $8,000 was raised through the sale of cookies by the pound, homemade candy and the raffle of a beautiful handcrafted quilt. Choose your own selection of treats to be weighed and boxed with a ribbon for gift giving or for your own festivities. The event will also feature live music, kids' activities including a train chugging through the festivities, all amid Christmas trimmings 'round the Parish Hall.
For up-to-the-minute information on The Great Cookie Caper, like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/stthomascookiecaper or visit the St. Thomas website at www.st.thomasepiscopal.org or call the church at 513.831.2052.

In honor of Bishop Ken and Mariann Price, the Diocese of Southern Ohio has launched a campaign to save lives: a gift of at least $18,000 to Episcopal Relief & Development's NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund. The goal is to raise at least $18,000 - one thousand for each year the Prices have been with us - which will be matched by the Procter Fund. Plus ERD recently announced a matching program until Dec. 31 -- that means your $25 donation could become $100.
Each net distributed by NetsforLife saves up to three lives -- and the nets cost about $12 each. For the matched amount of $100, that's 24 people whose lives could be forever, immeasurably changed.
