September 2015
Welcome to a new school year!
"Welcome back"-to our returning students and "welcome aboard" to our new ones! The 2015-16 school year is underway and with it, lots of anticipation of what God has in store for us! We have a number of new additions this year that we are certain will make things more accessible and convenient to our VSCA families. I hope by now you have received your log-in information for RenWeb, our new school management system. This computer based program allows our students AND parents to have easy access to assignments, grades, and other classroom events. It will be replacing our previous Headmaster program (if you have not received your personal information, please contact Mrs. Hendrickson in the High School office. ) We are also looking forward to the "roll out" of our new website. Because this website will be linked to the RenWeb system, all of our school information, including events, calendars, and PSP information (to name a few) will be much more readily available.
More importantly, we are praying for God's anointing to be experienced, not just in our chapel services, but also in our classrooms. We pray that the Fruit of the Spirit will be evident in the lives of our students and staff. We want VSCA to be unashamedly different! Different in the way we speak and act towards one another; different in the way we feel compelled to minister to the lost; different in the way we show grace and compassion and different in the way we overcome our challenges. I ask that you join with me and our staff in praying for the differences to be seen this year. God is able!!

God's Richest Blessings,
Leslie Fowley
Superintendent

Annual Fund 2015/2016
VSCA is proud to tell you about our Annual Fund 2015/2016.
What is the Annul Fund?
The Annual Fund is a yearlong process asking all of its constituents to financially and prayerfully support VSCA through an annual appeal. It provides essential monetary support to meet the school's growing need for financial resources that enhance the quality of the education for each and every student.
Why does Valley Stream Christian Academy have an Annual Fund?
To provide an affordable Christian education for children, our school can no longer rely solely on tuition and a variety of fundraisers. It must seek other avenues and resources of funding. It helps offset the difference between tuition income and the actual cost of educating each student.
Who supports the Annual Fund?
Alumni, school parents, church members, businesses, grandparents and other friends of the school are invited to support the Annual Fund.
How will the funds be used?
1)  To equip students by providing up-to-date curriculum materials, educational equipment, and technology as they are vital to preparing students for kingdom impact.
2)  To support families, as that is where God's plan for raising children begins. Some families who desire an exemplary Christ-centered education are unable to provide full tuition for their children. Your gifts allow students to receive a Christian education who might not otherwise have that opportunity.
How can I give?
You can make a gift right now by clicking here or you can write a check made out to:
Valley Stream Christian Academy (please write Annual Fund in the memo).
Checks should be mailed to: 12 East Fairview Avenue, Valley Stream, NY 11580
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes! VSCA is a recognized 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and all gifts made to the school are tax-deductible. Reminder, tuition is not. Gifts can be in the form of a pledge paid over time or by a one time contribution. Contributions can be made through company matching gifts.
Why is it important for every family to participate in the AF?
Every dollar assists your child(ren) with a stronger educational program. The goal is for all parents to contribute something to show support and appreciation for our dynamic school.
You are invited to join a gift club:
* Platinum Membership: $5,000 or $500 a month for 10 months
* Gold Membership: $3,000 or $300 a month for 10 months
* Silver Membership: $1,000 or $100 a month for 10 months
Whom should I contact with ideas or questions about the AF?
Director of Development: Breanne Ayala
(516) 561-6122   annualfund@vscaschool.org
Last year, we raised over $20,000.  That money was used to support our budget, give scholarship money to deserving students, and equipment for our new science lab.
 Our goal for this school year is to raise $100,000!
Think of all that can be done with this money.
Please prayerfully consider partnering with VSCA!
