FVA Employability Bulletin, Wednesday 01 October 2014
This is a one off bulletin for the attention of our third sector colleagues!
Lord Smith who is leading the cross-party devolution commission has asked SCVO to gather initial third sector views and proposals on the future powers of the Scottish Parliament.
As an organisation with an interest in employability, SCVO would welcome your views on whether you think changes are needed to the way unemployed people are supported and how you think additional powers could help deliver that change.
SCVO are particularly interested in:
- What changes you would like to see if there was further devolution of DWP budgets and services?
- If you would like to see changes to the DWP sanctions regime and mandatory programmes?
FVA will be submitting comments and would welcome your input by Friday 03 October by 5.00pm, however due to the short time frame you may also wish to submit a response directly to SCVO - email@example.com
The deadline for responses to SCVO is Monday 06 October.
Please note that the date for the national Third Sector Employability Forum is Wednesday 08 October,
not the 9th as stated in our last e-bulletin and we apologise for any confusion.
Don’t forget the next employability e-bulletin
will be going out soon so please send any contributions to Christine@fifevoluntaryaction.org.uk
by Friday 03 October.
All the best from the team at FVA
