The discount rate for member agencies is $650 per person for member agencies; $925 per person for non-member agencies. After July 8th, registration is accepted at a "regular" rate - $750 per person for member agencies; $1025 per person for non-member agencies - through August 24, 2016.

Leadership Day



Tuesday, August 30, 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.



Leadership Day is a special opportunity for New Executive Directors and Emerging Leaders to add in an extra day of learning and networking with sessions designed specifically for them.  The cost is $100 and includes lunch. 
 
Are you a new Community Action Executive Director?  Sessions will be focused on working with your board, financial management needs of an ED, and the role of advocacy in your work. There will be time for networking and talking with your peers about the unique challenges of leading a local CAA as well as a discussion on the Communtiy Action Network and the role of the national organizations and state associations. Speakers include Eleanor Evans (CAPLAW), Denes Tobie (Wipfli), and Denise Harlow (Partnership).  Time for small table discussion and networking will be provided.   

   

Are you an Emerging Leader?  The preliminary schedule for the Emerging Leaders track includes an introduction to the history of Community Action, applying Results Oriented Management Accountability (ROMA) for emerging leaders, and appliedd cultural competency skills.  Emerging Leaders will also have the opportunity to identify additional training topics that will addressed through a webinar series managed by the Partnership.

frontdeadDEADLINE FOR FRONT LINE TRACK IS FRIDAY, JULY 8TH
The Partnership is offering discounted registration for Community Action staff working on the front lines. Attendees will have a special track of workshops designed for those working with families.  A great opportunity to get quality training and experience the annual convention!



The deadline for discounted registration for this track "Performance at the Front Line" is this Friday, July 8, 2016. "Performance at the Front Line" is geared for direct service personnel, with workshops focused on their specific program areas.

 path2PRE-CONVENTION: PATHWAYS TO EXCELLENCE TRAINING
Pathways to Excellence Peer Reviewer Training will be held Monday, August 29, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, August 30, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 


Becoming a Pathways to Excellence peer reviewer is a great way for Community Action staff to build organizational development knowledge and expertise. This training will provide attendees the opportunity to become a peer reviewer for the Pathways to Excellence program as well as bring back critical knowledge and skills to their CAA. Whether your CAA is thinking about going through Pathways to Excellence or seeking ways to move beyond the Organizational Standards, this training will give you tools to put into practice.


Training is $350 per person. Lunch will be served.

Community Service Day is an opportunity for attendees to engage in a volunteer activity to help families in the Austin community. We have reached capacity and registration for this event has ended. A waitlist may be offered at a later date.
